Civilized Animal is an independent Ska/Funk/Pop/Punk band from Spokane Washington who is currently in their eleventh year of writing, recording, and performing their original music.
They are also a name that is synonymous with explosive high energy live performances, creative songwriting and outstanding musicianship. Since their formation in 1997 they have independently sold over 15,000 records, toured the west extensively, and landed opening slots with some of the biggest names in music including; Smash Mouth, N-Sync, Weird Al Yankovic, Fishbone, The Calling, Afroman, Sir Mix-Alot and many, many, more.

Civilized Animal has a
reputation as one of the top live acts in the Northwest. This
reputation has allowed them to secure performances at some of the
most desirable venues in the region including; The Gorge
Amphitheatre , The Tacoma Dome, Spokane Arena, Silver Mountain,
Greyhound Park Events Center, Snoqualmie Pass Resort, Majestic
Valley Arena, Schweitzer Ski Resort in Sandpoint Idaho,and The Met Theatre in Spokane Washington, just to name a few.They
have also played the Northwest club circut extensively, frequenting
well known clubs such as: The Roseland Theatre, Cobalt
Lounge, and the Tonic Lounge in Portland, OR., The
Central, Colourbox, Rainbow Tavern, The Last Supper,
Ballard Firehouse, The Owl and Thistle, Tost Lounge and Larry's in Seattle, The Tacoma Dome, Novos and Hell's Kitchen In Tacoma,Tallotti's 211, The B-Side,
The Boulevard, Medley's Lounge and, Mootsies in
Spokane among many other clubs, private parties and festivals
throughout the West.
Civilized Animal have toured the college circut for several
years performing at acclaimed colleges and Universities across the
west such as: Gonzaga University, Eastern Washington University,
Pierce College, Carrol College, Montana State, Spokane Falls
Community College, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and
many more.
Civilized Animal Are veterans of four Vanns Warped tours and have performed at festivals like: Seattle Hempfest, The Bite of Salem, Roots Mountain Reggae Festival, The Meltdown, The Garlic Festival, Central Washington State Fair, Missoula Hempfest, Pig Out In The Park, Neighbor Days, Moscow Hempfest and four consecutive years at the Spokane Interstate Fair.
With nearly Eleven Years of touring and recording under thier belt, Civilized Animal has earned a substantial fan base in the Northwest and it's only a matter of time before the whole country catches the "Civilized" buzz.
